I agree with you completely. I can't say I've ever played a pipe organ that was in tune completely. Even on the day (or two, or three) of tuning, by the time the last rank is done, something would be 'out' in the first rank. We were always going into the chamber when a pipe got 'bad enough' to do a one note correction.

I made the comment below 2 years ago, thought it would be worth repeating here:

While attending the Indianapolis ATOS National Convention, the organ crew was fine tuning the Page organ at the Paramount Theatre in Anderson, IN right up unitl just seconds before the doors opened for attendees. After the 1st half of the concert, I made a comment that the organ was so in tune it sounded electronic at times. Others who heard me say that laughed and agreed.

Yeah, very true, Rob. I see you're from Canada as well, just want to say happy Canada Day to all Canadians on the forum here. Dan.

There is update on the SP website...http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/u-s-a/casavant-organ-model.html#updates
Update 1.12:

Chamade Trompet is not affected by Unison Off couplers
Unison Off couplers do not affect intramanual couplers. This allows using the Chamade Trompet as a solo stop on one of the manual against the full organ coupled to a different keyboard.
Pitch of the low Cis of Doucaine 16 corrected.
Pitch of Voix celeste 8 corrected in Equal temperament.
Mixer labels corrected.

When I set the temperament to Velotti Young to match my pipework, the Recit Voix Celeste changes pitch from 8 to 4 and sounds like the Octave 4. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I have not investigated further to see if other stops are affected. Asking any fellow users of this set to try to duplicate my experience. This will confirm the source of this glitch. Thanks.

A further quick check and it appears limited to the Voix Celeste. I can't definitively say it's just raised an octave because the timbre/loudness also changes slightly.
Thanks,

Hi Doug.
When flipping from original tuning, the VC does indeed hop up an octave. I'm waiting on the update to cache to see if it fixes things.

Reloading the cache sets the base pitch and temperament back to the sample set default if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks,

The SP update fixes this problem. All behaves as it should when it's applied.
