New Cavaille-Coll organ sample set

Postby Discipulus.veritatis » Thu Jan 24, 2019 2:57 pm

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if there will be any new Cavaille-Coll organs sampled in the future? As for now Caen seems to be the only one, and Madaleine, but what about one with reeds en chamade?

We also have:

-Metz (Milan)
-Metz, St. Eucaire (smaller; also by Milan)
-St. Omer (Sonus Paradisi)
-Oberlinger organ Bonn Beuel (new organ in C-Coll tradition; by Pipeloops)

-Aix-en-Provence (OAM)(not totally multi-sampled)

They are not all strictly authentic C-Coll organs, but close enough, and very much in that tradition, and variety is the spice of (musical) life, right? :D

If you own Metz Notre Dame and Caen 2.5, there's a composite sampleset derived from them, Aristide No 1 v2, which has chamades borrowed from the Dom Bedos demo. It's an emulation of the Rouen C-C stoplist, voicing, and acoustics.

And Jake (subbas32) also has in his catalogue an extension of Caen simulating the project for the Vatican, and another version inspired by Saint-Ouen. We have a huge choice!

Thank you very much for the info! The Caen sample set suffices for me by far, but that Vatican extension does sound quite interesting.

For this extension, I suggest you write to Jake:
