PAB 3.0 and MTH new editions released

PostMon Jul 22, 2019 4:37 am

Dear All,

PAB 3.0 is now available: fully reworked and sounding much better, and equipped wthi new features. Please check the trial also.

Additionally, 2 new editions of the Melbourne Town Hall organ is also available and the Professional Edition is re-voiced. A new on-screen voicing tool was also implemented. This allows you to very easily re-voice the entire organ, unlike before.

List prices for all products are now reduced.

In the last two days our FTP server was a bit congested, so we installed a new one and moved it to another data center so now it should work faster for everyone. Also, the number of simultaneous connections was increased to support download managers.

Hello Dr. Huszty,

These new editions are invaluable updates to already fine instruments. They are each extremely versatile instruments for the entire organ repertoire. I look forward to adding them to my aresnal of Hauptwerk instruments.

Sincerely,

Joe Felice

Hey Folk;

I installed the PAB V3 demo and am only getting about 30 seconds of playing time before the audio stops. The original demo would go 15 minutes before stopping.

Anybody else noticed this?

Just got the PAB Gravissimo version 3 upgrade installed.

This was my first really big sample set when I first bought it back in 2010. It was impressive back then, though I must admit to having played it increasingly less in recent years.

And now .... WOW!

It’s as if I’m discovering an entirely new organ!

Congratulations Csaba and team - in my view this update is a stunning success!

Dear Sir, I wish to complain on the strongest possible terms about the new release! :-D
I just recently purchased a tablet to use as a HW computer so touchscreen and pc would be only one piece of hardware - with the additional benefit of using it as a PC for everyday... I could barely squeeze the PAB Professional in the 16GB RAM... but I was happy. And then, suddenly, you release the PAB 3.0... and the Professional suddenly needs 24GB... and the Gravissimo is suddenly very affordable as an upgrade... so now... can anybody recommend a good and affordable Tablet with 64GB of RAM? :-)

I have fitted the PAB Gravissimo into 32 GB of RAM. This is how I did it.

First, everything is loaded in 16 bits. Normally I load everything in 20 bits, or 24 bits for smaller sample sets. For this one, 16 is necessary but it sounds quite good.

I'm using the original acoustic, not the "cathedral" option which is RAM-hungry. I'm also adding a small amount of additional reverb via Reaper.

For the original organ, all 92 stops are loaded with all attacks and all releases. The Grande Orgue is loaded with all loops, but the remaining stops are loaded with single loops.

For the Gravissimo extensions, everything is loaded "single" - attacks, loops and releases.

Eventually I may disable some of the Gravissimo extensions - there are some which I'll never use. If so, I'll recache to provide more loops to other ranks, or to increase some ranks to 20 bits.

It just takes a little time and patience to make it all fit.

Andrew
