Introduction of the new Steinmeyer Valley Sampleset

PostSat Nov 09, 2019 10:45 am

The new sample set of Forestpipes Virtual Organs will be presented in a public presentation on November 17th 2019 in Valley/Bavaria.
As a special feature the sampleset sounds in the same room as the original - the Steinmeyer organ of the Zollingerhalle in Valley, which used to be located in the Heilig-Geist-Church in Heidelberg.

Information about the organ can be found here: Link

Specification of the organ: Link

Soundexamples of the sampleset: Link

You can download a demoset with 11 stops here: Link

The programme:
11:30 a.m.
Introduction of the sampleset by Gregor Dworzak and Thomas Fuerstberger (Forestpipes)

3:00 p.m.
Concert. Thomas Engler (Regensburg) and Korbinian Maier (Munich) face the original and the sampleset in a public concert.

After the release of Hauptwerk V in a few weeks the sampleset is available to buy. There will be no HW4-version.
Best regards
Thomas

Interesting. Will there be a video of this concert? I'd be interested in seeing/hearing it.

I will only make an audio recording of the concert, but that's not for the public.

There is a video of the concert, at least an excerpt:

Unfortunately the audio recording of the real organ was disturbed by a mobile :x

Thank you for this. A unique opportunity to hear a sample set next to the source pipe organ. And what a massive console!
