Continuo sample set?

PostTue Apr 21, 2020 2:30 pm

Does anyone know of a sample set for a one kb continuo?
I found the Prib but it has a pedalboard. He wants a single manual continuo no pb.

Thanks,

Thomas

Why not use a small sampleset with pedals and don't map the pedal division? I'm missing something.

Izola, Brescia, Prib, small Rotha, Griebenow, a couple Sygsoft organs, Gapinge from Voxus.

I'd recommend the Clavi-Organum from Sonus Paradisi, which was designed for exactly this purpose. Just ignore the available Pedal Stops. From the available Organ (or Harpsichord) Stops, just use the lower Manual. If any stops from the upper Manual are desired, just couple them down.

Again, just use the "Auto-Recognition" Feature to configure only that single Manual. Problem solved!

Tschöckel (St. Maria Nordheiim) Positiv of Prospectum

Green Positiv of Piotr Grabowski

1740 Positiv of Pipeloops

I also have Prib and am not aware of any native pedal facility in that sample set.

Imho definitely Gapinge from Voxus Organs.

This is a very high quality sampleset with one manual only.
Personally I use this set almost daily on a very small one-manual console in my office.

Enjoy,
Jack.

The AVO Stahluth positive was also created for this purpose, and it is free.

It is now 16 years old, but I still like the "Ott Organ", you can get it at https://orgel.datzko.ch/

Of course it can't compete with today's sample sets, but on the other hand it only needs 200MB RAM.

There’s no pedals on the Prib. I’ve used it for continuo a lot. See here: http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/czech/prib-chamber-organ.html
Best wishes,

There is an extension for the Ott organ which includes a pedal division. See https://hauptwerk-organ.com/shop/.

Sonus Paradisi's claviouganum works very well as a continuo organ/harpsichord. It's worth considering (don't load what you don't need.........)
