Large Kampen organ on internet

PostSat Jan 27, 2007 3:01 pm

Go to:

http://www.orgelradio.nl

Then: click on Labeluitzending: D.E. Versluis

then install Macromedia flashplayer, if you have't already.

Then listen to these selections, played by different organists:

01 HEINRICH SCHEIDEMANN – Vater unser im Himmelreich
02 DIETRICH BUXTEHUDE – Passacaglia d-moll, BuxWV161
03 GEORG BÖHM – Vater unser im Himmelreich
04 FELIX MENDELSSOHN-BARTHOLDY – Sonate V

It provides a very good sense of different stops, including a manual 16' reed (Fagot).

Get used to the enormous acoustics!

The rest of the program is on different organs. For the entire program see:

The church also a choir organ in 17th century style, built by Reil:

Then Boehm is one of my favorite pieces, and shows off the "prestanten" so well.
