I have released an update today, which contains the following modifications:

- Error fixes
- The main organ and choir organ can now be switched separately. If you press the blower switch of the respective organ, the stops remain pulled out, but no sound is emitted. The blower also remains on and only switches off when both organs are deactivated. The switches can also be controlled via MIDI.
- Divisional cancel: If you press the plate of the respective division, all stops of this one are switched off. This can also be controlled via MIDI.

You can download the update from here:

Best regards
Thomas

I have the Gorlitz sample… and I’m wondering:

Would this sample set be “too similar” in both sound and acoustics to warrant a purchase? I honestly haven’t played the Gorlitz for quite a while and seem to gravitate towards the CC sound much more. I do love the sound and acoustics but just concerned I’m buying a second Gorlitz, that I find “ok” but it’s not one of my “go-to” samples for playing.

Thanks for your thoughts and opinions!

I don't have Regensberg or Görlitz, but I think you would find them similar. Görlitz has more original baroque material, but it was a pretty forward thinking organ, and these days it's more of a neo baroque concept. Regensberg is just like that as well, but even more neo baroque, as it was built more recently. It has some "essential" stops to play romantic repertoire, but I don't think it will satisfy a lover of Cavaillé-Coll. If you want a German Cavaillé-Coll, as I see it there's two camps; admirers of Sauer, and admirers of Walcker. I'm in the first camp, but you can get Hauptwerk sets of both. Sauer studied with Cavaillé-Coll, and his organs have more colour and romantic personality, while still being thoroughly German. Walcker, however, was a bit more conservative, and incorporated a bit more baroque balancing and timbre (which makes playing Bach for instance easier, but in my opinion makes the organ less interesting).

My favourite Sauer is the Chemnitz. It has a nice darkness to the reverberation that I think is perfect. However, I've only ever played the demo!

If you want a Dutch Cavaillé-Coll, the Bergen op Zoom is great. It's much closer to a French Romantic instrument though.
