Hello Wendell,

I would say that using dry samples with no additional reverb is almost essential if augmenting existing real pipework, since the real pipework won't have any additional reverb (unless you mic.'d it and fed it through a reverb processor), especially if the acoustic of the building is reasonably good.

From time to time dry or wet is a discussion that come up again and again, as normal for subjects that are not either black or white.

I think that there are some good contributions in this old thread with some still actual principally aspects of the subject, and make it worth to bring it up to the surface once more.

One thing has changed during the year.
To day we have got more high quality dry sample sets than a year ago.
