We have the pleasure to announce a new sample set for Hauptwerk (v. 3.30 and above). This time, we created the virtual model of a typical Adriatic coast organ of the Italian fashion. The original instrument is to be found in the St. Mary church at Izola.
A typical small instrument of the Italian style: pyramidal Principal chorus (Ripieno), embellished by the solo stops, Flauto and a tasteful reed stop - Tromboncini. Built most probably in the second half of the 18th century in the most proliferous Venetian workshop of Pietro Nakič (Nacchini), by his pupil Francesco Dacci. The presentation of the virtual organ offers also short improvisations supplied by Frédéric Deschamps. A part of these was recorded using the stop combinations after the suggestions drawn from the historical notes of G. Callido (who was himself a pupil of P. Nacchini).

The sample set is offered in 3 versions:
dry: innovatively supplied in 3-channel format (L-C-R, triple mono),
wet: standard stereo sample format including the reverberation of the church, suitable for most Hauptwerk installations, and
surround: multi-channel, suitable for multi-channel Hauptwerk installations.

Following the tradition of our "minor releases" (such as Rabstejn), also this sample set is priced so that users may easily acquire all the three versions together for a friendly price.

A note for the split screen lovers: the Italian organs usually offer only a single row of drawstops, all located on only one side of the manual. Therefore, in this particular case, the split screen support would be inappropriate. However, multiple LCDs may still be used for the sample set: if you reserve the right LCD for the drawstops, then you may use the left one for voicing screen, for example.
