Marcussen Organ, The Netherlands, available for ordering

PostSat Oct 25, 2003 1:04 pm

From now on, the Marcussen Organ, The Netherlands, is available for (pre-)ordering. It will be ready within a few weeks.
Meanwhile, a lot of mp3's has been added, and will be added.
I'm interested in what people think about the organ itself, the quality of the examples, the pricing, etc.
I will provide a few organ definition files together with the sample set. (Suggestions about the wished disposition are welcome)

Marcussen Organ, The Netherlands, available for ordering

I'm very impressed with the work Ariaan is doing, and have pre-ordered it from him (he accepts PayPal). I'm privileged to work with the organ as it develops - I send him MIDI files and he makes them into MP3's, all through email. Truly an international effort.

Marcussen Organ

PostMon Dec 29, 2003 3:41 am

I would like to add my congratulations to Ariaan for the quality of the sampling of the 1965 Marcussen organ. The organ is a joy to play and I love the reed sounds. The Regal, Krummhorn, the Basun 16 and Trumpet on the pedal are all so clear. And there are also some very lovely sounding quieter stops too like the Gedaktflotje. I am enjoying playing Balbastre and D'Aquin noels at the moment with the reeds sounding just great. It is rather difficult to get the intended sound of these pieces on the traditional small English style pipe organ I play at church.
I can thoroughly recommend this organ.
Cheers
Brenton
