Adding master coupler to screen layout

PostSun Aug 16, 2015 9:42 am

Hello,

I am currently working on a new screen layout of an existing sample set. Is it possible to add Hauptwerk master couplers to new screen elements?

Best regards,
Chris

Hello Chris,

You can't embed controls for the master couplers in a CODM organ definition. However, you can define native couplers within it instead, which is more flexible anyway. (The master couplers are always available via the control panels and piston tool-bars.)

Hi Martin,

I tried my very best, but I am failing at a certain point.

What did I do so far?

1. I created the link to the package of the graphic files of the stops (<ImageSet>), <ImageSetID>1871<

2. I created the link to the 2 graphic files (on and off) (<ImageSetElement>), <ImageSetID>1871<

3. I put the 2 graphic elements onto the canvas (<ImageSetInstance>), <ImageSetInstanceID>1871<

4. I created a <KeyAction> entry for the coupler with the entry <ConditionSwitchID>1871<

5. I created a <Switch> entry for <SwitchID>1871< with <DefaultInputOutputSwitchAsgnCode>1006<

I see the stop on the canvas, the stop can be switched on and off, but

- it does not couple manual 1 to pedal and
- it is not cancelled when pressing „General Cancel“.

This is a link to a text file with all additions I made so far:

What do I miss?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Chris

Hello Chris,

The entities you mention aren't part of the Custom Organ Design Module (CODM) organ definition format. They're part of the 'full' organ definition format instead.

I'm very sorry, but we don't have time to provide training/support for that, except to professional sample set producers. It's a large and complex programming language, and it isn't something that's intended to be user-editable.

If you need help from us then you need to use the CODM to create your organ definition instead, which is specifically designed to be reasonably easy and quick for (moderately technical) people to learn and use.
Best regards, Martin.
