128 GB server: what do you think?

I am updating to 96 - 128 GB. This server was suggested to me by a computer friend. Wondering if any of you have thoughts about this. It certainly would be an inexpensive way to proceed. Many thanks in advance for your help and expertise. -Jerry

Servers, due to their fans, are generally noisier than PC's for instance. I've also heard they are slower. They are designed for other purposes as compared to a "normal" (whatever that is) computer.

I missed a video card. This processor has no video capabilities. Take f.i. a Nvidia GT710 silent (no fan).

Looks like a solid build! Do you know that the case (which is perfect by the way) is quite large? You will have lots of unused space. May be something to consider when you don't have much space for the PC.

Include a simple, passively cooled graphics card as suggested and you have a very good system (which should not be much more expensive as the server).
