wire connectors

PostWed Feb 28, 2018 5:11 pm

Greetings,
I would like to be able to disconnect my manuals and pedalboard without having to remove the connectors to the midi control unit or the manuals/pedalboard - a sort of intermediate connect/disconnect plug. The wires are in sets of 8 and I'm looking for a connector that plugs together, one side male, one side female, with screw-in contacts. i.e. the individual 8 wires screw in to their own contact and then the two sides plug together. I haven't been able to find anything that fits the bill. Anyone out there have any idea where I could get something like this? Many thanks!

There are many ways of doing this. If you want a screw-down connector, I'm assuming you want something like this:

Female:

and Male:

Thanks for your suggestion Drew - this would work although a bit costly. My local hobby supply store has the female side for ~6.85 each CAD. They looked at me with a blank stare when I asked for the male side. I called On-Line and they're looking at finding a solution that would be cost-effective and durable. I'll let you know how I make out. Again, many thanks,
Jim
