Reasonably well satisfied with Altenbruch. I find the sound characteristics between the Rugwerk and the Hauptwerk a little as if they are from different periods. The specification is a bit unusual. I mainly use the Hauptwerk, which has nice stops. The two 8' flues go very well together. The Vox Humana blends nicely. The pedal division is fine. I miss pedal couplers. They could have been added as a compromise. As well as RW-HW coupler.
There is lot of music that goes well here. It's a very appealing organ, but not perfect. STeinirhcne isn't either,r as the 2nd manual is a Brustwerk which gives you automatic limitations.
Wish to know how to assign a software coupler to a MIDI button on my console and have it remembered next time I load the organ. Should be added in next version.
My ideal North-German baroque organ would be something larger, like Martinikerk Groningen, or Hamburg Nicolai or Catharinen. Or a great new organ in that style that sounds old. Bernard Edkes organ in the Waisenhaus in basel (very nice Schnither copy in marvelous acoustics), or the Vater organ in St. Petri in Melle. Or Norden. Tangermunde is nice too but is 17th century. Stralsund also nice, but you would not easily get permission there.
Gernot Wurst supposedly recorded the Hamburg copy in Sweden at Goteborg, but not sure how and when he will publish that, as the organ has sub-semi tones.
I keep dreaming..................
But tell me about pros and cons of Steinkirchen please......
