Time to learn something new. What is an arched key cheek? Got photo?

I think we call those Skinner keycheeks.
Matt Arnold is pretty reasonable on those. I buy them raqw and finish them myself.

Are you adding more manuals, hence needing more key cheeks? If so, you will obviously want exact copies of what you have now, any woodworker with even a moderate amount of skill, attention to detail and a scroll saw can make those for you, Ed. It's a simple matter of tracing the ones you have now and again, making copies. When I went from 2 to 3 manuals on my converted Allen console I made a pair of key cheeks that match the originals perfectly, you can't tell the ones I made from the originals. Mine are also almost identical to the first (arched) pictured. Careful selection of matching species of wood and wood grain pattern will also be important so the new ones don't stick out like a sore thumb. Sore thumbs make for lousy organ playing.

Agree, esp when using the "thumbing" technique.

And yes, looking at adding a 4th manual. There's some work involved in properly fitting the keycheek to a Fatar keyboard properly.

You're not wrong. Anyone would think Fatar'd never seen an organ!

I couldn't agree more. Supporting local craftsmen/women, even if it's a bit of work to find them, is always a good thing. And it's likely to be good bit cheaper.

If you look closely from the side, the Skinner ones are the letter S.
