Status of Rotterdam Extended?

PostSun Jan 20, 2019 6:33 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows the status of the extended Rotterdam Hoofdorgel set that was being worked on?

So, is it safe to assume the project is dead?

If you mean the St Laurentius and Elisabeth cathedral (43 stops, 3 + P, very french styled), the project is in good way. You might have a glance into the Sygsoft website (still under construction). And listen it in, contrebombarde

I was referring to the extension that subbas32 (Jake) was working on for the SP Rotterdam Hoofdorgel of Laurenskerk. There was a lengthy discussion on here a while back about his plans to do an extension like he did for the SP Caen sampleset. I was just wondering if it was still in the works?

I suppose it depends on what kind of demand he might see for doing an extension and offer it out to the masses, but my understanding is Jake usually does this on a per request basis. I talked to another user here awhile back and he contacted Jake and had him come up with a custom ODF for a set he had bought and was very happy with the results. I'd try contact Jake and see what he says, from what I learned he's happy to do this for a reasonable figure.

Hello fellow Hauptwerkers,

Thanks for your inquiry, Scott. First of all, apologies for the ridiculously long delay. I realize that it's getting close to a year since I last posted on the forum! The good news is that it looks like I'll have more time in the near future to work on Hauptwerk projects. I have a backlog of projects to work through, but I am preparing a beta version of the Rotterdam extension in the next few weeks. I'm very reluctant to give a timeline as these projects always take more time than I think they will, but I do see light at the end of the tunnel.

For those who are not familiar with the previously mentioned "Rotterdam extension", please see this thread.

Kind regards,

Jake

Jake,
Still very eager to get your Rotterdam extension. Glad it's still in the works!
Best!
