Bach Doodle

PostThu Mar 21, 2019 8:10 am

You may have noticed that today Google is providing access from its search page to a "Bach Doodle" in honour of his birthday March 21st (old style date). Details may be found https://www.factmag.com/2019/03/21/ai-google-doodle-bach/. Give it a try and have your chorale melody harmonised!

Here's an example https://g.co/doodle/fs5aaf

Can't see where it mentions him as an organist, although it shows him at an organ. Maybe I just missed it.

Actually, I believe all three animated musicians were intended to be J. S. Bach. He was well known for playing the organ, the violin, and harpsichord (or some equivalent one-manual keyboard thing instrument).

I assume everyone also found the switch to change the little band into a set of synthesizer players. I found this to be a fitting extra tribute to organist and electronic composer Wendy Carlos.
