Where's Martin gone?

PostFri Jul 19, 2019 7:40 am

Hi all,

does anyone know what happened to Martin Dyde, the developer of Hauptwerk? He doesn't seem to have posted anything on the forums since 31st March.

Is he still with MDA or has he left?

I believe Martin is still working on Hauptwerk for MDA. He does not now regularly contribute to the forum.

I can definitely say that I had mail exchanges with him recently and that he still is with MDA.

Best regards

Martin is definitely still on board, and is very busy.

...He also knows that his prodigious offspring, named HW, reached adulthood an got its own momentum.
In my mind, I give thanks to him each other day¡

There was a forum announcement to this effect quite some time ago. So it should be no surprise.

No reason to believe that Martin is not up to his eyeballs in architecture and code at this point. Which was the whole point. He was having to spend his time dealing with often arcane forum questions instead of focusing on the next (whatever/whenever that is) major release …

In the words of a fairly well known bit of Reggae … "Don't worry, be happy"

Being happy is one thing. Staying happy is sometimes more involved.

Many of these arcane forum questions are being answered by some very knowledgeable Forum members.
There is a large volume of resources here maybe rivaled by only a very few other Forums. 8) I have gained much information just reading the various answers. Thanks, guys, I for one do appreciate. :)

Rgds,
Ed
