Maybe you need another Registration between #23 and #24.

But that's easily accomplished already. If #25 is your last Registration, and all subsequent steps are empty, just save #25 to #26, then save #24 to #25, then create your new Registration and save that to #24. Problem solved!

I was wishing for an insert for the stepper as well with this new version. As OrganPleno states, it is possible to do, but is pretty cumbersome if you suddenly around #25 discover that you'd really like a new one at #3. I think it was logged a while back as a consideration for V4 but I think maybe the priority of the reverb and audio system took priority -- quite understandably. I'll just wish for a while yet and maybe it'll turn up if not the world won't end for me. I know they've got bigger bones on their plates right now than convenience.

I understand what "insert" (and "delete") need to do (whilst keeping the numbering of the other steps the same) but I don't know what "All Pistons Plus / Next" is to do? Is it more than "advance to next step" which is already provided...

Hello Theorbe,

[Topic moved here; I'm not actually sure what the intended longer-term arrangement is currently for requesting enhancements since the new website move.]

Thanks for the suggestions.

Theorbe wrote:Also, why at version 5 are we still waiting for an Insert facility in the stepper?

Yes -- it's logged as an enhancement request, and we know lots of people would like it, and we do hope to add that functionality in the future.

Theorbe wrote:It would be really useful to have an "All Pistons Plus (Next)" feature for the registration stepper.

As Iain mentioned, it would be useful if you could describe specifically what you would such a function to do.

I think Theorbe might mean the functionality provided by the second of these. The electronic system on that particular four-manual cathedral organ causes every coupler piston (Gt/Ped, Sw/Ch, etc; thumb or toe) to advance the current frame on either the stepper or the sequencer, whichever is currently active, when it is drawn.

I think what is meant is the literal : all the pistons (generals and divisionals, but probabaly not the set or all buttons) become frame/step advance on the console.
It does make things a lot easier, if a whole piece is programmed on the stepper.
Usually, pressing the all a second time, or pressing the set button cancels this function.

Thanks for the details. I've logged them to an enhancement request for future consideration.

I mentioned this feature back in 2015 in this post.
