Crescendo PEDAL ISSUE

PostThu Sep 03, 2020 10:10 am

I purchased a set of expression pedals some years ago that were from a Rogers organ. The swell pedals work as expected. However the crescendo pedal never returns to fully closed despite its physical state. Is there an adjustment or other solution to correct this?

There is an adjustment within Hauptwerk (for each organ) where you can set the effective range for an expression pedal. If you set the minimum a few notches above Zero, then that reachable number will count as Zero for purposes of Hauptwerk.

A good preliminary exercise is to use a MIDI monitor to document the actual effective range of MIDI signals being generated by your expression pedal. Then use these values (with a little added leeway) to inform your settings within Hauptwerk.

Thanks. I will look at the settings for the organ in question.
