Organ with clear sound (especialy principals)

PostWed Nov 04, 2020 2:29 pm

I look for a free sample, (it can be demo version) with clear sound, especially have got a clear and powerful principals (8' 4'). I'd like that sounded like Haverhill or base sample with ., in my opinion they have good principals. Organ don't have to be great. How they recommended samples?

The Brasov demo from Sonus Paradisi is fantastic.

In my opinion this organ I don't like it, for examples principals, flute is better, this organ isn't clear, i'd like organ with dry(natural), sharp sound, like DEMO Grand Orgue, Haverhill, or Doesburg
But thank you for reply :)

Have you tried Friesach or St. John Cantius by Piotr Grabowski? They are both free, and have pretty good principals. "Clear" can mean a lot of different things in an organ context, exploring in more detail what you are looking for might help. For instance, do you like a lot of harmonics in the tone, or fundamental? Do you prefer shorter reverberations and closer recordings, or longer reverberations that don't sound muddy? Generally, all instruments sound clearer if you load them at 24 bits rather than 16 bits, so this is something to keep in mind as well. I would expect all demos to be recorded at higher bit rates.

It's not free, but it's a sample set with wonderfully clear principal choruses in the South German style.

The Aeolian-Skinner of New-Haven is free, with many clear principal stops.

Better is small reverberation and closer recordings, and i like loud sounds, then principals have cool sounds to me, like Haverhill, DEMO from . and Doesburg in my feeling. Freisach doesn't sound like that organs to me. Freisach is in my opinion too quiet, increase volume isn't same like fabrical organ noisy. There are organs which not meet conditions like Smecno, Azzio or Velesovo, but sounds is good, but it is other category to me.

Unfortunately, I don't like sounds with Aeolinian-Skinner. Reverberation is too high, change reverbation is worse.
