Etcetera V5 organs availability....

PostThu Aug 27, 2020 10:03 am

Dear all,

I've been in touch with Magne and HW 5 versions of his organs should be available soon. Since Hauptwerk 5 release, he has been busy travelling then since the beginning of the pandemic, he's working on a project related to the Covid.

You should eventually receive an email from Etcetara about the availability of the HW5 installation files.
Best regards
François

Have there been any updates regarding the Joergensen organ? I last heard from Magne Nilsen mid-December, 2019, when he told me it was a few weeks away from a HW5 release. Obviously some world-wide event intervened, can't imagine what...

Good morning,

Unfortunately I haven't heard from Magne. I will try to contact him to see how it goes.

Any updates on a HW5/6 version of Joergensen Tribute?

PostTue Dec 15, 2020 6:29 pm

Late in 2019, I corresponded with Magne regarding getting a version of Joergensen re-encrypted for (then) HW5 - he indicated it would be available soon. Early in 2020, he reconfirmed it was a few weeks away. I haven't heard since. I believe Martin contacted him later in 2020 regarding this, but since then I've heard nothing further. Their website still has the previous HW4 compliant version for download, as of today.

Does anyone have any more current information about the future of this beautiful little instrument? I certainly hope Magne and friends are doing well!

Hello Bob,

Just to clarify, it was actually Francois who contacted Magne:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18978

(I've had no correspondence with him myself, aside from sending him the necessary things for re-encrypting sample sets early in 2019)

I've merged your new topic into that previous one now, so as to keep the discussion in one place, in case anyone has any information to add it.
Best regards, Martin.

This question is intended to be somewhat rhetorical. Do owners of these sample sets need to buy a license of HW v4 to use our samples from Etcetera?

Hello Chris,

If you have a licene for Magne's sample set and have migrated your licences to v5+ then (aside from having a separate v4 licence for it, of course) there's no way to use that sample set until Magne updates it for Hauptwerk v5+ compatibility, I'm afraid. Probably the best thing to do would be to contact Magne to try to give him a gentle reminder. (Re-encrypting a sample set for v5+ is quick and easy, but it's something that Magne himself would really need to do, since the sample set's copyright belongs to him.)
Best regards, Martin.
