Download H9

I have purchesed HW9 and don't know how to proceed. Where do I download it from? I have an activation code. Last upgrade there was a download that told you what would happen and what you had to do. Am I impatient? The payment has hit my credit card!

Hello David,

Thanks very much for buying the v9 upgrade.

You can download the software itself via the 'Download' link at the very top of the forum. (It mentions a trial, but it's the full software.) Enter your name and email address and it will email a download link to you.

The Hauptwerk v9.0.0.258 download size and MD5 checksum should be as follows if the download has succeeded properly:

Windows:
3.01 GB (3,233,986,896 bytes)
MD5 checksum:16cde7fcaf3bcb009979062ed58163e8

macOS:
3.17 GB (3,405,146,215 bytes)
MD5 checksum: 3c257bfb98e5b0debaca0c2d70d32ff2

Then use "Licenses | Redeem Activation Code" in iLok License Manager. It will prompt you to select your previous Hauptwerk licence to 'surrender' in exchange, and then ask you where you want to activate the new licence. For that, select your iLok dongle if you have one, otherwise iLok Cloud.

Then install Hauptwerk v9. Once done, you should be able to launch v9 in full licensed mode as normal.

I am getting cheesed off with this problem at every upgrade. It is made more difficult by having two email addresses and also trying to keep my Hauptwerk machine free from the internet by using two machines. I put in my name and email address and then get a message
"There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later."

Is this me or the system. I am starting to think of ditching Hauptwerk and give up all organ playing. I am now 78. I cant keep this time and time again. I have a problem on my current software but have been told it probably will be much easier to solve by installing v9 first. I have a job this weekend. I think it could be my last.

I've just tried the form, and I too get that error message at the moment. I'll enquire, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Just a quick follow-up to say that Francois has emailed a direct download link to you, and that the our web developer is aware of the problems with the download form, so hopefully it will be resolved soon.

In the meantime, if anybody else finds that the download form gives an error, please email Francois at support [at] hauptwerk.com , and he'll be able to send you a temporary direct download link. Our apologies for the problem.

I've just checked again, and I too still get the error. Our apologies for the ongoing problem. MDA's Web developer was notified, so hopefully it will be resolved as soon as possible.

In the meantime, please send an email to Francois at support [at] hauptwerk.com mentioning that you'd like an alternative download link.
