It's been many months now in the making, (I've been lurking on the forums now since 2006) and I've finally taken the plunge. I'm doing this project iteratively, I didn't go out and buy everything last thing I wanted all at once, and I'm glad I didn't. It's quite a big project, and I can see how it could get overwhelming if not taken in steps.

These are the specs of my system:

Vista x64
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ stock speed
8GB (4x2GB) DDR2 800 RAM
2x8800GT SLI (converted from a gaming machine :p)

MIDI Hardware:

3x Classic MIDI CMK keyboards
1x Classic MIDI Pedalboard
3x Classic MIDI Swell shoes
Sony MDR-SA1000 Headphones
Focusrite Saffire LE
Presonus HP-4

Planned upgrades:
AKG K 701 Headphones
Touchscreen(s)

Misc:

Artisan organ bench and music rack from local Rodgers dealer.
Made a u-shaped stand to attach the music rack mounting brackets. (post if anyone wants the measurements).

Using a 24" LCD LG monitor rotated sideways with wireless keyboard and mouse for interface. Table is 63" IKEA Galant table.

I am currently using the MDA CC Metz organ. A couple of notes about that: First, I'm amazed at the symphonic quality of this sample set; the solo capabilities of this organ are phenomenal! I had a couple of organ enthusiasts over the other day, one of them owned the previously mentioned Rodgers dealership for 10 years. They were completely blown away by HW, the MIDI hardware, and the sample set. The Rodgers dealer (also worked for a while building pipe organs and happens to be an extremely good voicer) commented that Brett's voicing job was absolutely top-notch. The other organist commented that the organ didn't sound 'obnoxiously French' as he had initially expected. The stops are warm, rich, and colorful. While it stays true as a Cavaille-Coll instrument, it somehow passes as an Aeolian-Skinner when you need it to.

I'm currently experiencing an odd squeak on some of the 8' Positif stops on the E above middle-C. I noticed this squeaking all over the place when I was playing with the MeanTone temperaments. I'm hoping this will go away with the arrival of my audio interface in a couple of days. EDIT: Discovered this is something local to my system.

In the end, I'm extremely happy with the end result, as were my friends.

Looks like you shred your music after playing it.

Sorry couldn't resist, after seeing an empty music rack and that shredder filled up on the right on the floor.

Anyway nice setup. Mine will be redone in a few weeks with a new MIDI-fied pedalboard, to replace a temp setup with a Hammond pedal.

Hah! Got quite a laugh out of that one ...yes the desk used to be my work desk, but now it's the HW desk. Shredder has stayed where it is :)

Anything I can't play after 30 minutes, perfectly, from memory, gets shredded.

I have no music left :)

Since everything you can play after 30 minutes, from MEMORY can get shredded also :)

Enjoyed your playing and the very inventive way you have adapted the organ to this literature.

Without Hauptwerk, how could anyone so easily take a French Romantic Organ and cleverly coax it to showcase contemporary organ literature? Hauptwerk is amazing isn't it!

I enjoyed listening to both pieces, although only through headphones at the moment (since the better half is sleeping) but tomorrow I'll listen through the Rodgers audio system.

Nice to hear some contempoary arrangements on this organ!

Have done some updates:

You can now see the pedalboard & swell shoes, added Presonus HP-4, Focusrite Saffire LE, and some speakers (got rid of the shredder too) :)

Very nice arrangement of How Firm a Foundation, and equally well played. Where can I find a copy of the score?

Hi Clinton, I'm afraid that arrangement is unpublished and I don't have the arranger's permission to distribute it. I have had multiple requests for it though, I will inform Dr. Elliott that demand is high!
