Hello Chris,

We're working on it. Sorry that we can't give an estimate yet of when it may be ready. I'll certainly announce it nearer the release date.

Thank you and glad you are enjoying the set!

Hello Lub,

Thank you for the compliments. We'll post the stop list for volume II nearer the time of its release. It will be a 3 manual instrument with extended compass on all manuals and pedal.

Hi Brett,

Still playing the Bovenkerk Volume I with great pleasure I was thinking (read somewhere) MDA would try to produce and deliver the entire organ (the Volumes II and III) at the end of 2008 too. No problem at all. Since the 22 of november not any news about progress is publiced.

Is there any expectation you will share with us on what term the next volumes will be available ?

Thanks in advance,

Fokko

I look every day or we have more information for volume 2 and 3!.
I enjoy every day of this magnificent sampelset, and I even have my organ console converted from 2 to 3 keyboards for this sampelset.
I hope that Brett can give us more information?

Hello all,

First post, actually second, I accidentally deleted so now I have to re-do it.

Anyways, has Brett given any indication as to whether or not he documented the choir organ that is also in the Bovenkerk? This would be a nice treat.

It was built in 1999 by Reil www.reil.nl/doc/historie-en.html. They build organs with a focus on clarity and sensitive actions, basically an organists organ.

Here is a performance by Peter Wildeman, www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbccdQ2-Y1w.

It's not exactly an historic organ or particularly significant outside of the fact that it shares the rich acoustics with the Hinsz. Perhaps it could be included as a bonus for anyone who buys all three volumes?

Hello Ian,

We did not record the Reil, only the Hinsz. I did have the pleasure to hear Ab Weegenaar play it briefly and agree that it is quite a spectacular organ! Here's a photo I took:

Hello Lub,

I seem to have missed this posting. We do plan on releasing these as soon as we possibly can. I'm glad you are enjoying the set as a 2 manual organ so far!

Can you tell which stops have volume 2?

We can only speculate...

My guess is based on:
- Brett said before 'It will be a 3 manual instrument'.
- I'm not sure, but I thought Brett said before 'each volume contains almost an equal amount of stops'.
- When 'Manual stops' will be added to Volume 2, also 'Pedal stops' are necessary.

This results in:

Volume 2 (16 stops):
- Rugwerk (Manuaal 1) 11 stops
- 5 pedal stops

Volume 3 (16 stops):
- Prestant 16 / Trompet 16
- Borstwerk (Manuaal 4) 4 stops
- Bovenwerk I (Manuaal 3) 10 stops

I'm curious about my qualities of prediction...

Hello all,

I think, based on "No, they will be correspondingly less for each volume as we plan to offer roughly 18 ranks (not definite!) for Volume II and the remaining ranks for Volume III."

trompet 16 en the prestant 16 Hoofdwerk.
11 stops rugwerk man 1.
5 stops pedaal.

totaal 18 stops

regards Lub.

- Manual I: Rugwerk
- Manual II: Hoofdwerk
- Manual III: Bovenwerk I
- Manual IV: Bovenwerk II + Borstwerk
- Pedaal
This is in my opinion a more attractive setup for this organ, with Bovenwerk II combined with the Borstwerk instead of Bovenwerk I.

My suggestion:
Volume 1: Hoofdwerk, Bovenwerk II, Pedaal(partly)
Volume 2: +Rugwerk +Borstwerk +Pedaal + extended compas
Volume 3: +Bovenwerk 1
