Bovenkerk Hinsz Volume II Released

PostMon Apr 20, 2009 2:00 am

Dear all,

As promised, here are the screenshots of the dual displays for volume II of the Bovenkerk Hinsz. These are created for a 1280x1024 screen resolution, the same resolution as required for volume I. Click on each image to see a full size screenshot. The Full View display looks the same as in volume I, it just has more black circles. ;)

We're in the process of finalizing this set and hope to have it available very soon. The original version is completed and we're working on wrapping up the extended version. As soon as we have final memory requirements I'll post that information here. I plan to have some demos in short order as well and will follow up here to post them.

I hope you like the dual displays!

Very nice Brett - looking forward to the demos! Now, if you could just add "Any sample sets available for sale for use with Hauptwerk must support dual stop jambs" to the Hauptwerk licensing text :)

Thank you Gert!

Hello Peter,

It is just located in two places so the organist can draw it from either side depending on which hand is free or for a stop assistant to have access from either side. It also just borrows the Prestant 16 from the Hoofdwerk, so the one rank has 3 stop knobs.

Thank you.

Hello Brett,

Nice that Volume II comes nearer...!
I guess the "Koppeling Borstwerk" is a coupler from manual 4 to manual 3 (the "Schuifkoppel" in the original)?

First Hinsz volume 2 beta demo

PostWed Apr 29, 2009 4:36 am

Dear all,

I am pleased to present to you the first public beta demo for volume 2 of the Bovenkerk Hinsz.

I decided to post something a bit different for this organ so show the versatility. Some may not feel the music is suited for this organ, however I think it goes over quite well and showcases the wonderful tutti of the instrument. By the end I pulled all the stops out (literally) so what you hear is the entire 41 stops playing at once. I wanted to do this just to show that the organ is easy on the ears even at full organ.

This uses the extended version featuring 56 notes in the manuals and 30 in pedals. We've also extended the Sexqialter to A below middle C and the same with the Carillon.

The demo uses a previously made MIDI recording from David Lines which was created for the Metz. My registrations may not be perfect since it was done on the fly without score in hand. I couldn't resist sharing this, so here it is!

Léon Boëllmann. Suite Gothique Toccata

Please watch your audio levels, the file has been normalized and may cause you to fall off your seat. ;)

We'll have more official demos very soon showing more individual stops and with various styles of music.

I hope you enjoy it!
