Progreess on my console

PostSun Jan 03, 2010 12:37 pm

Hello all,
http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnstump_ ... 940546863/

These are few pictures of my latest progress. They show my assembled console table, keyboards with finished key-cheeks, pedal-board, Monitor arm and bench all in place. Still need a finished hutch and music stand over the keyboards, a floor in the console, a back on the console. There is space in the cut-out of the knee panel for two more swell pedals (for a Cresc and Positiff, or when I get a theater set they can be Main Solo and Cresc.) The keyboards are a little low right now. I have some 3/4 inch oak stock the I will put a routed edge on and it will go under the bottom key cheek on each side.

John

Thanks,
But work ground to a halt for a while. Wood shop was closed for Holidays, then we had company for a couple of weeks, and there were a few things to attend to that I had ignored while working so intensely on the organ project. But now I purchased and the lumber for the music rack (tulip rosewood, which I hope I can quarter saw and butterfly out into a nice pattern ) and final hutch so I hope to start it next week.
