I can see the finish line

Here is a link to some fotos of 99% completed facade. A couple of pieces of molding are missing and need to be stained an finished. Otherwise, it is finished. Now on to the the pistons and toe studs and I can truly call it complete.

Nicely done! The center tower adds a lot to the look in my opinion. Are you still thinking about a few metal pipes?

Are there spkrs behind what appears to be grills?

Yes, John, if I found the right pipes. The height in those center flats though is only 18" so it basically would be a 1' with 4 or 5" long feet. I'd like something that had the feet getting longer on the shorter pipes so that the top line of the pipes did not come down too much, but I probably won't find that in used pipes that come from interior of an organ. I think that is more a facade exclusive detail.
Yes Ed, there are six Behringer Truth 2031a's, 3 in each large tower, plue a Def Tech Super Cube II on the floor beside it. I have room in the center for 4 -6 more speakers depending on what I chose to put there. I might even be able to get 8 BX5's double stacked.
The idea was, since it is the dominating piece of furniture in the room, to try and have something with attractive woods and a good design, that at least suggested a real organ case (hence the faux gedackts, which I hope aren't too hokey looking or fake) for the virtual organ.
It was a lot more work than I anticipated, but I'm fairly happy with the outcome. If I were doing it again..... but I don't think that will happen soon. It makes you appreciate what real builders of real organs go through.

Kinda easy to see why many larger P/Os take years to complete. My relatively simple setup can be classified as on-going. Complete, sort of.

I've come back to this page several times as, "in need of inspiration". One question, tho, are you going to incorporate one or more touch screens (aside from the pistons) for registration changes?

For now, I'm happy with one touch screen with the sample sets I have. Two would be nice, but not crucially necessary, so I don't see that happening for a while. Pistons will be the next big addition, then probably two more swell shoes, although that is not a high priority. A few more speakers will probably come before swell shoes and a second touch screen.

This is beatiful wood work. I had a similar idea, but to put the sound system behind the facade to make it a single unit. You should enjoy this for a long time.
