Uncompressing ODF ?

PostMon Feb 28, 2011 1:38 pm

Is it possible to uncompress an ODF ? I have modified an ODF using an XML editor and I forgot to stop HW3 from compressing the file and I have lost track of the original. It seems that HW3 not only removes unused tags but replaces some with some sort of coding to make the file smaller. I don't mind losing the unused tags butI can't make out the coding.

Hello,

Yes, just go to General settings | General options | Design tools then tick the option to disable auto-compacting for the ODFs. The next time you load the ODF it will be saved without the compacted options. Note that loading times may increase when not using a compacted ODF, so please just be aware of this.

A quick P.S. to Brett's post, that he forgot to mention:

You might also need to force the ODF to be regenerated by loading the organ with 'Design tools | Load organ (with design options)' and selecting the option to force ODF regeneration.
