The file I am trying to read with my xml editor is ExampleCustomOrgan1.Organ_Hauptwerk_xml

There is no .xml extension and my xml reader doesn't recognize it. What am I doing wrong. Thanks.

Hello Ollie,

There's probably an option in your XML editor application with which you can tell it that files with an extenstion '.Organ_Hauptwerk_xml' are XML files too. Alternatively (or additionally) associating the extension with your XML editor via the operating system will probably do it (for example, in Windows you could browse to in it Windows Explorer, right-click on it and select 'Open with | ...').
Best regards, Martin.
