HW 9.01 update download

I hope Martin is watching this...

I have been trying to download the 9.01 update for a couple hours. I keep getting a message that the email is not working and I should try again later. Any ideas?

Re: It's a Triangle Christmas

I just saw the note about my web site. It appears to be fine.

It's a Triangle Christmas

Everyone, This post is only marginally related to Hauptwerk. I am a Hauptwerk user and developer. Now to the real topic... My latest music project was even a surprise to me. I have been holding somewhat regular weekly jam sessions with a small group at our home and each time we meet I try to compose ...

Re: HW 9 menun location for compacting files

<t>Martin,<br/> <br/> Thanks. That explains why I couldn't find these options. I need to actually select an organ from the menu first. It is also counter-intuitive that changing these options and then selecting "cancel" actually works. "Cancel" really ought to undo any actions taken in the window ...

Re: HW 9 menun location for compacting files

Thank you both for your quick replies. Unfortunately, I still do not find these important options. I have verified that "Disable Design Tools" is unchecked (it already was, by the way). I then went to Other>Design Toos>Load Organ (with design options.) The resulting window has only the following ...

Re: Hauptwerk IX Early User Experience

I would also like a zoom size below 100, perhaps as low as 50%. I have designed my organs so I can use their physical stop and coupler interfaces and so I use rather small monitors with Hauptwerk. I would guess I am not unique - and the effort to add smaller zoom sizes is probably not large.

HW 9 menun location for compacting files

I upgraded both my organ systems to Hauptwerk 9 today. I try to always keep things current for several reasons - and one of the most important is to keep supporting the development team that creates and maintains this excellent piece of software. However, I find the new touch menu interface ...

Never mind. I had to refresh my browser to see the announcement in the title bar of the forum page!

Re: Hauptwerk IX Early User Experience

I have not seen an announcement of HW IX nor it does not seem to appear on the main Hauptwerk.com web site. Can someone point me to the correct site with the announcement and download instructions?

Re: Upper end Mixture work

You might be interested in either of my two composite Cavalie-Coll (CC) sample sets. You can find them here: http://www.nightbloomingjazzmen.com/NBJ_Organ_Software.html The newer one is the "Alan's CC Organ". In both of these - but more so in the AlanCC, I create mixtures from individual ranks using ...

Re: Upgrade to the real thing... or not ?

Glenn, Don't forget the option of having both in one instrument! Hauptwerrk comes with the ability to control ranks of real pipes so you could construct a hybrid organ. I have friends who have done this to great success - though I haven't tried it myself. I have used the same mechanism to control ...

Re: Upper end Mixture work

This is an interesting discussion. I have created two Cavaille-Coll style organs which you can find at my web site: "Les' CC Organ" and "Alan's CC Organ." The former is based on St. Serene in Toulouse, while the latter is modeled on St. Clotilde in Paris. The URL is http://www.nightbloomingjazzmen ...

The Throop Institute March - 50 Years as Caltech Organist

This month, I am celebrating my 50th anniversary as Organist for the California Institute of Technology - usually referred to as "Caltech Organist." I am not as old as you may think, because I began this position when I was a teenager and an undergraduate at Caltech. As Caltech Organist, I have ...

Re: Audio pops

Biogons, Thanks for the new ideas. Since I am Mac-based, some things clearly work differently. I am about to go on a month-long vacation. When I return, I will likely replace my computer on the assumption that this is a faulty RAM problem. Starting with a new installation on a new machine will also ...

Re: Audio pops

I found a pop (albeit a much quieter one) in my reduced PCC sample set this morning - on a pipe in the 32' Contra Bombarde. This seems to imply my lower-address 32 G RAM board is faulty - but at an address higher than St. Anne will exercise. I was not expecting this. I discovered today that Apple no ...
