Re: St Mary, Redcliffe

My current preference: I leave the solo completely un-assigned and then use any of the native couplers to bring it to swell/great/choir as needed Solo to swell with swell unison off temporarily gives me just the solo if needed The Choir is so delicate, that when I need tuba solo I can just couple ...

Re: St Mary, Redcliffe

What are people's recommendation for those with 3 manual consoles? Floating manuals or just assign Choir/Echo to one keyboard or what??
Thanks

Re: Hauptwerk IX Early User Experience

Just to add my bit... Upgraded from 8 to 9. No real problems apart from that after I 'redeemed' my iLok licence code, I didn't realise I also had to 'activate' it. I find the iLok interface far from intuitive! No difficulties on the HW side - all upgraded happily and I like the new touch ideas ...

Re: New Sample Set - St. Davids Cathedral, Wales

I'm very tempted by this but only have three manuals. I know I could use floating manuals (which I did with Hereford) but it's not ideal. Another alternative is to assign both 'Choirs' to the choir manual.
Any views?
Thanks

Re: Touch screen question

Just out of interest, turned it all on today and Windows had decided to switch both monitors back to landscape mode and lost all the touch settings!
It's not even connected to the internet so I can't blame an update!
Had to reset screens & touch from scratch....

Two touch screens available

I have just updated my touch screens so the old ones are available. They are both Iiyama 19" 4:3 screens. They are some years old but working fine. They do NOT have standard VESA mounting holes so have to remain on their fixed stands. I have copies of the touch drivers that worked fine under W10 ...

Re: Touch screen question

Thank you!
All it needed was setting up in the Tablet PC settings.
I'd searched in 'Settings' for 'Touch' and found nothing. Good old MS hiding it away!

Touch screen question

(Apologies if there is a better forum for this) I've just replaced my VERY old Iiyama touchscreens with two nice new Viewsonic TD2230. Touching monitor 1 works fine. Touching monitor 2 appears/activates on monitor 1. My old monitors had some driver software but it doesn't recognise the new screens ...

More than one audio interface...

Is it possible with HW8 to run two ASIO audio interface units?
Currently I use all my 8 channels for speakers but it would be nice to have the headphone option.
My current 8 channel unit doesn't have a headphone output, but I do have another, older, Focusrite unit around....

Thanks

Re: Armley Schulze and Romsey Abbey

I don't have experience of both, but I've been around the block for a while, ... Thanks for that detailed response. I'm indeed more after a large parish church type organ rather than a cathedral organ. (I have the Burton/Berlin Hill.) Something that would be a good fit for liturgical and ...
