Re: Pedal note intermittent

Have you tried rotating the reed a bit? They need to be at a specific angle in relation to the magnet to respond correctly.

Re: Cipheritis

I'd get a good, AC powered (not USB powered) MIDI interface then. I've had reliable service from my MOTU MIDI Express XT, for example. I love the MIDI Express XT too! (Use the current firmware!!!!!!!!). The non-XT firmware has a bug that the XT used to have, in that it tends to crash every 6 months ...

Re: Pedalboard wiring?

Hi Adrian, from the last picture, the wiring is common ground to the pedal notes (green wire from plug.) There are 32 individual black wires from the pedals to the wyvern board. If you remove the built-in board, you should be able to substitute it for a parallel scan Arduino that sends MIDI where ...

Re: All IA organs at $100 for 2 days only

I had been refraining from rushing to download as I expected this congestion, but I have just downloaded Urakami packages at full speed in Dublin (I was getting 6min/2Gb over wifi, then switched to wired and got 2Gb/2min. I am paying Virgin for 500mb fibre, but when I did a speed-test, after IA ...

Re: All IA organs at $100 for 2 days only

Iain,
once you purchase the items you want, you can download them at your leisure once they are in "my products". You don't have to do it within a certain time-frame.

Re: Opinions on Fatar keyboard for Theatre Organ

It is a relatively easy operation to remove the tracker-touch "pimples", for want of a better word. Then you can have wood-core if you want!

Re: Curious what happened to the Hauptwerk site

Interesting. HW has no problem forcing users to upgrade to "safer" software, but goes shopping for web-hosts that allow it to use outdated models. EXPLAIN!

Re: organ suitable for a church with a lot rever

I agree about the Silver Octopus sets. There are demo sets available for some of them, if you want to try them out. Also, Sonus Paradisi does dry versions of a lot of their sample sets. Menesterol is worth a try, to see how a dry set sounds in the building, without breaking the bank. There's a dry ...

Re: Resonance modelling

To add to John's comment: the only real way to implement some of this is to sample groups as well as individual pipes. Where to start and where to stop then becomes the problem. Eventually, we may be able to sample every chord with every stop combination and have instant playback of it. Hopefully ...

Re: Processor question for Martin

I had a Z800, I got a Z840. They work and behave well with HW. They're also far more reliable, long-term.
