Re: Source for engraved pistons in EU?

Thanks for the reply.

That's pretty much what I was thinking of doing. Good to hear that it's good for at least 15 years of use. Good enough for me! 8)

Milan Digital Audio website down?

The Milan Digital Audio website has been down for several days now.

The Forum goes down regularly; the Hauptwerk main site is sometimes uber slow.

Whenever it happens it makes me worried that Hauptwerk and the company behind it is going to disappear...

Source for engraved pistons in EU?

Hi,

Anyone have a recommended source for engraved pistons in the EU?

I have a bunch of push button switches that look to be very similar, but they have no markings on them. Is there any way I can use these? Number stickers covered with some sort of clear coat?

Re: What are the Best Touchscreens to Buy?

I use these Asus VT229H monitors: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VT229H-Moni ... B07P619NXM
... mounted on brackets very similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/PHOLITEN-Compute ... B0CBJW3X14

IMHO you need monitor stands which clamp to the console table.

Re: HW 8 is Splendid

I must Amen! Gilberto’s sentiments. Instruments load and unload much faster than before. And thanks to the added text on the Realtime option, I’m now running Hauptwerk as Administrator and all the crackling audio artefacts I was getting once a minute or so are now gone, even with an Audio buffer siz ...

Re: overall equalizer

A built-in equalizer would be fantastic! I have previously submitted a feature request for one. I have two use cases already: 1. The living room where my home organ is standing is exactly the right size to cause standing waves in the 16' octave of the pedal with F-G-A being very boomy. I would like ...

Re: Organ Forum not secure

True, but the link from hauptwerk.com Support to Forum takes you to http:, not https:. Confirmed. This is something that needs to be fixed server-side. To whoever maintains the Hauptwerk homepage and this forum, you should be doing the following: making all links to other sites go to https URLs ...

Re: Foot pedals to fill reservoir

If you get this working then we have really come full circle -- from manually pumped bellows to electrically powered blower motors, to manually powered electronic emulations of bellows. An aside: as recently as 1960 new organs in this part of Sweden were built with bellows that could be manually ...

Is there still a free edition?

Subject says almost all: Is there still a free edition? And if so, what are its limitations, and where/how do you get it?

Re: Experiences using Bluetooth headphones?

Ed,

As hinted above, the problem with Bluetooth wireless headphones and headsets is that it introduces a delay -- and this is very noticeable when playing a musical instrument.

Thanks guys, just what I needed to know. Looks like corded headphones are the way to go then.

Experiences using Bluetooth headphones?

Hi,

I would like to hear of any experiences (positive or negative) using Bluetooth headphones with Hauptwerk.

I am *not* interested in comments to the effect of "it should work".

Thanks,

Colin

Registration assistants when playing a (real) Cavaille-Coll?

Hi, How often does one need registration assistants when playing a real Cavaille-Coll organ? How much can be achieved just through the preparation of "jeux de combinasion" and the use of the "anches" pedals? When performing eg a Franck Chorale, can one change a few stops by hand during natural ...
