I had a similar issue on a Windows 10 unit. For me the culprit ended up being with the background picture on the desktop. Every time it changed the CPU would spike. It took me forever to realize it, but once disabled everything works beautifully!

Has anyone here tried using the SMP MIDI sequencer by MIDI Botique with Hauptwerk? I am looking for a sequencing solution when using organs that don’t have monitors connected. I have also considered the Syndyne Profiler, but it is much more costly than the one from MIDI Botique.
