Thanks, those steps work. I'm just looking for master general buttons.

Now I've got the buttons, but MIDI detect isn't working. Obviously, this is a different problem. I'll see if I can sort it out.

Thanks Martin, I had tried all the options under "View / piston toolbars (for this organ)" and none of them are what I expect to see. On the first option there sre indeed "set" and "gen cancel" buttons, but the rest of the buttons are all something else which I don't need, and there is no set of 1 2 ...

I had HW4 working fine with buttons onscreen in a sidebar numbered 1-10, a "set" button and "cancel" button (basically what one expects to find on an organ). UPDATE: After playing this keyboard for while, I've determined that the action is slightly more stiff than the Yamaha NP-series, especially noticeable on the sharp/flat keys. The stiffness of the action is determined by the silicon plungers, so it can't be changed.

The feel of the Nektar SE61 key action is actually pretty comparable to the Yamaha NP-11/31 or NP12/32, light and solid-feeling, but not quite as good. Considering that the Nektar keyboard costs less than 1/3 those Yamaha keyboards, and is accordingly much more cheaply made, it's surprisingly good ...

In the mean time, there has been an iLok Manager update, and another macOS update, and so far the problem has gone away.

Fortunately, I have not faced this kind of annoying problem, but I know that on a Mac, many "upgrades" will just fail if you do not run a clean install... I've used Apple computers since the early 90's, and these claims and conjectures sound like nonsense to me. My Mac Studio was new in October '22 ...

It's still happening about every other day. François, thanks and that may be true about the IP, but I doubt that's the cause. The problem never appeared before the macOS update. My guess is that the update changed something about process boot order during startup, but what do I know. Thanks Martin ...

Yes, as I had confirmed already above, my iLok Manager is up to date (the version is 5.7.0) As I mentioned, I have no other software that uses the iLok Cloud, so I can't say if this problem only to do with Hauptwerk, but I do have other iLok licenses (none which require a dongle) and none of them ...

Hi Martin,

No, I always open Hauptwerk manually.

I assume the problem is something in iLok, but there are no problems with my other iLok licenses, only Hauptwerk. I guess the "iLok cloud" must be the problem, because I have no other software which requires that.

Well, something strange is still going on ... I updated my iLok manager, and that seemed to solve the problem, but in fact the problem persists. After I have shut down the computer for the day, and booted it up for the next day, Hauptwerk opens telling me it needs to be activated again. I open iLok ...
