Re: Panels rendering off screen
Something else to consider, if you have an iPad near your Mac, "Sidecar" can become active and extend your Mac desktop onto the iPad. Although not with Hauptwerk, I've had that happen and lost my cursor. It took me a while to realize what was going on. Just a thought and something to keep in mind ...

Re: All IA organs at $100 for 2 days only
It should be noted that both Scots' and MTH ship with IR's. They just need to be installed and then selected as any others would be.

Re: Hauptwerk 8 Early user experience
Mark, Thanks for the thoughts. I was quite sure the Mac would not be using that setting, but all thoughts are most welcome and appreciated. Martin, Thank you for the details on the "internal" workings of Hauptwerk. It just pained me to see two performance cores with only about a 5% load :D but now I ...

Re: Hauptwerk 8 Early user experience
Martin, I have noted (using the iStat monitor application on my Mac) that my Apple Silicon CPU has two basically idle performance cores while running a large organ in Hauptwerk 8. This leads me to believe that I need to wait for a specific Mx version of Hauptwerk before it will take advantage of all ...

Re: Hauptwerk 8 Early user experience
Interesting memory use now. Yes, organs load MUCH faster. However, I don't know how much memory is being used. The memory meter within Hauptwerk never drops now when unloading an organ or loading a new one. Example: I loaded a rather large instrument and I had about 8 GB free. I then loaded a much ...

Re: USB C to USB B hub for Hauptwerk
To second what Larason2 said, I run the Midi, the Audio, 2 USB LaunchPads, an SSD drive, and 2 "Spinning" drives (one of which contains Hauptwerk data, and at regular intervals, the drives "cross backup" and the SSD backs up the whole computer), through 1 USB-C port, which is also powering the ...

Re: Nancy voicing questions…
I do not have the Nancy sample set. My comment was just in regards to MacOS and Hauptwerk.

Re: Nancy voicing questions…
My MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon running Ventura runs Hauptwerk just fine (no tuning needed).

Re: Mac Studio and Motu 24A0
The audio quality has improved a lot too. It didn't seem too bad, but with the update I feel like it has more detail than before. That is certainly good news! Perhaps the sound quality is now as good with the driver as it has become for me running in USB mode. I don't want to give out names of ...

Re: Mac Studio and Motu 24A0
Just an FYI: I deleted the MOTU driver and started running my UltraLite Mk3 in class-compliant USB mode when MOTU took months and months to develop a driver for the new MacOS. The increased realism and clarity was astonishing. I've not noticed any huge increase in latency, but maybe that is just 'me ...

Re: VI AUDIO FLOW
A small part of the original question was in relation to overall volume. (headphones louder than main outs). I just wanted to be sure that you know the Micro-lite power/volume button can be momentarily pressed to change from adjusting headphones to adjusting main out. It toggles back and forth with ...
