How do we get Updates to our samples?

PostSun Jun 06, 2021 5:06 pm

Gang…

I’ve been wondering how we receive any update notifications on our various sample sets. After watching a few youtube videos, the organist mentioned some recent updates, granted for a sample set i don’t currently have (Nancy) but it got me thinking…. Have I been missing updates all these years on the current 20 some samples I DO have???

Thanks

It varies by company. Some announce updates on this forum. Some post on the HW users facebook group. Some have a mailing list you can sign up for. Some have an updates link on each sampleset page on their web sites. Some have a blog or news page on their web sites.

I've never seen a single source that collects this information.

Thanks mnailor…

Sounds like its a bit of a hodgepodge situation unfortunately. But thank you… I will check individual websites!

It's not surprising. The sampleset producers are unrelated companies in different countries. There isn't even a complete, up-to-date list of samplesets anywhere, unless it's not in English. The pcorgan list has a good subset, but some are missing. MDA's list hasn't been current for years.
