Are there any lists of qualified techniians in mid to northern Florida area that are familar enough with Mac/Apple's to be able to install Version V or VI ? I need to find someone to install Version VI if that is possible in my 2011 MacPro. Presently I have Version 4.2.1.003 so I also need to know if Version V or VI can be installed.

Unfortunately the only person that I was able to find to install Version 4.2.1.003 back in 2014-15 has moved out of the area.

Antoni….

I can recommend my consultant Francois Ratte at Hauptwerkconsultant.com. He installed my version V and VI.
He will log into your computer remotely which for me was a blessing, especially when I was living overseas! IMO, well worth it.

Just my 2 cents

PS… Email coming back to ya!

The actual installation of the latest version 6 isn't all that difficult. Setting up the features including setting up of the sample sets (iLok, etc.) is more involved.

I've found that even with a PC most pro computer techs aren't able to be of much help regarding a Hauptwerk setup. The ratio of pro PC techs to pro Mac techs is 85% for PC vs 15% for Mac's unfortunately.

Employing Francois is a good plan using remote access..

You are worth it. : :) I've found many Hauptwerk users don't fully utilize many HW features because they 'don't know how'. It's not that they can't but seem to have various 'reasons' not to. I dare say there's rarely a day that I don't learn something new about HW thanks to the many knowledgeable contributors of course Martin and you.

I've also found it takes some effort (and understanding) to ask a "good" question. 8)

No argument there. Francois is an asset to the Hauptwerk community.
