Ah. Found it. That page has several items that were new in HW 5 or 6, not 7, but it's in the Highlighted Features list, not the New and Enhanced list, so it's accurate. For example, support for Launchpad mark 2 on the same page is obviously not new or even recent, but somebody felt like highlighting it anyway.

The release notes are specific about the scope of changes. Maybe I'm missing something, but I've been using 7 for almost two months.

The HW server is a disaster. Tried x time, always aborted. That's annoying. Loaded yesterday from SP samples, no problem. Please solve this persitent problem. Happy to pay for each updates, but the download should then work.

Download successful, smooth, only 20 min.
No download manager, Google Chrome directly - no problem
Checked MD5 - ok, going to install...
Thanks

Hello Steve, münsterorganist, andersonxt and ricou26,

Thanks very much for buying the v7 upgrade, and very sorry to hear that you've been continuing to have problems downloading it. If it isn't working any better today then please send an email to support [at] hauptwerk.com and Francois should be able to send you a download link from a different server.

I have not seen any announcement of HW v7 - nothing in the Forum Announcements section nor anything in my email.

If this upgrade is now generally available, please let us all know how to get it.

Hello Les,

An official announcement hasn't been posted/sent yet, but Brett/Michelle will be doing that soon.

To confirm Mark's reply (thanks, Mark), there are no voicing changes in v7. The release notice has the full list of changes in v7: https://www.hauptwerk.com/documentation/

Dear Martin,
after some hours I could download HW 7 successful and the installation was without any problems. The highest solution is grandios, against a big step for HW. The other new things I will try in the next days. Many thanks on Martin.

Not until 5am do you post a possible solution. Yeah, thanks.
Over 13 hours since the problem became apparent.

I should bill YOU for the time I wasted.
I hope you understand that our enthusiasm for the product increases our expectations and frustration.
And this is not the first time. Too many botched roll outs.

Hello Steve,

Very sorry again to hear about the download problems. Just to clarify, I'm in the UK, hence the delay in my reply due to the timezone difference. I'll make sure that the relevant people know that the download server is currently struggling, so that hopefully we can be get it improved.

Thanks again for buying the upgrade, and I hope you like it once you do eventually have it downloaded and installed.
Best regards, Martin.

P.S. Francois is in Canada, so there might possibly be a bit of additional delay in him getting back to you, due to that timezone difference.

The features data sheet is accessible from the the main hauptwerk.com page (Go down a little), Pages 4 &5 give an outline of the new features, thereafter most of the pages are about features of the product introduced in earlier editions. The release notes provide the best information about what is added in HW 7 and this is pointed out on page 5 of the features data sheet..

Did today the upgrade from HW5 to HW7.

Everything was going well.
A slight less polyphony as HW5 but a better sound.

Greetings Martin

IainStinson wrote:The HW 7 iLOK licence is accepted as a valid licence for 6.0.2. This means that if you buy a licence for HW 7 and redeem the code (and surrender your previous licence if you purchased an upgrade) in iLOK manager, you can run either HW 7 or HW 6.0.2. This would enable you to use HW 6 on one computer (or partition) or HW 7 on another computer (or partition). You could buy HW 7 during any special offer period, activate the licence and then upgrade from 6.0.2 at a time which is more convenient to you. Note: you can still only have one version of HW installed on a computer(or partition) at anytime, and one licence only allows one copy of HW (7 or 6.0.2) at any time.

Hi Iain

I tried this today, and it didn’t work for me, HW6 wouldn’t launch on a different installation with my HW7 licence. Maybe it worked for you because you had a pre-release version?
Best wishes,
Marcus
