Hauptwerk v6.0.1 download links & installation instructions

PostTue Nov 24, 2020 7:04 am

Hauptwerk v6.0.1 is now available for download via the 'Download' link at the top of the main Hauptwerk website:

https://www.hauptwerk.com/

Please see the v6.0.1 release notice for full details, and see main Hauptwerk user guide for installation instructions:

https://www.hauptwerk.com/documentation/

In case of any difficulties downloading via the 'Downloads' link on the main website, then please see try these these direct download links:

The main Hauptwerk v6.0.1 installers can be downloaded via the 'Download' button on the main Hauptwerk website:

https://www.hauptwerk.com/

Windows (full installer):
Size: 2.98 GB (3,203,125,848 bytes)
MD5 checksum: 6569c19bc32cb60e75ad90c25274cc15

macOS (full installer):
Size: 3.13 GB (3,363,349,791 bytes)
MD5 checksum: 43376142c675705ec11409df040c9e57

Version 6.0.1 has some an important licensing fix above v6.0.0. If you are still using v6.0.0 then we strongly recommend upgrading to v6.0.1 as soon as possible. (If instead you want to upgrade from a pre-v6 version then there is no need to install v6.0.0, or v5 first -- please just use the v6 .0.1 installer to upgrade directly to v6.0.1. There is never any need to, or benefit in, upgrading via intermediate versions.)

IMPORTANT: Especially if upgrading directly from a pre-v5 Hauptwerk version, then please do make sure you read the 'Upgrading or re-installing Hauptwerk' installation in the main Hauptwerk user guide (download link above -- pages 25-29 in the current v6.0.1 version) first, which has some important steps to follow.

However, to upgrade to v6.0.1 if you already have v5 or v6.0.0 installed, in summary, you simply need to:

- Use 'File | Backup ...' in your existing Hauptwerk installation, for good measure.
- If you are upgrading from v5 and have purchased a v5->v6 Advanced Edition Perpetual licence upgrade, then redeem you v6 licence activation code, and activate the resulting v6 licence in iLok License Manager. (*)
- Exit Hauptwerk.
- Download v6.0.1.
- Run the v6.0.1 installer to upgrade your existing installation, leaving all settings within the installer at their defaults. The installer will then upgrade your existing installation, and no settings or organs should be lost in the process. (It doesn't matter whether you select the 'Standard' or 'Custom' option in the installer -- your existing installation locations will be used in either case.)

(*) Important note: When activating a v5->v6 Advanced Edition Perpetual licence upgrade in iLok License Manager you will need to 'surrender' you v5 licence. (iLok License Manager will prompt you automatically to take you through the process, allowing you to choose the licence to surrender.) Please note that once a previous version's licence has been surrendered, it will no longer be possible to revert to running that version.

(If you have a current subscription for Hauptwerk, and are currently using v5, then you can simply upgrade to v6 as above, without needing to activate any additional v6 licence -- your subscription licence is valid for all v5+ versions, including v6.)
Best regards, Martin.

Re: Hauptwerk v6.0.1 download links & installation instructi

Since v6.0.1's release, it has been found that the 'HauptwerkReverb-SyntheticChapel01-Omni-3m-LR-1.5s' impulse response reverb bundled with Hauptwerk wasn't working if using 96 kHz audio.

The updated reverb will be included in the installer for the next Hauptwerk v6 patch, but in the meantime (and for the benefit of any remaining v5 users who use 96 kHz organs) the following hot-fix patch that updates just that particular reverb resolves it:

http://downloadhauptwerk.com/hauptwerk/ ... ptwerk_rar
Size: 8.66 MB (9,081,449 bytes)

If you want to use that reverb at 96 kHz then please simply download that file and install it via 'File | Install ..' within Hauptwerk v6 (or v5.0.1).
Best regards, Martin.
