Key graphics in CODM

PostMon Mar 23, 2020 8:28 am

Hello,
I have a question about the manual or pedal graphics in the CODM. As I understand the system, there are several basic graphics which repeat themselves depending on the programmed manual or pedal range. An implementation of a single graphic per key is therefore not possible in the CODM, I suppose.
Best regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

If I'm correct in understanding that you're asking whether it's possible to specify a different graphic for every single key on across the full compass of the keyboard (or every single key in an octave), then indeed that can't be done in the CODM.

The CustomDisplayKeyboardStyle table is used to specify the images for the various key shapes possible (C/F, D, E/B, G, A, sharp, etc.), and those images would then apply to all octaves.

Hello Martin,
thanks for your quick reply. Yes, that I wanted to know. Then I will find out how this is implemented in the ODF and design single pedal key graphics with various upper keys.
Best regards
Thomas
