Non-coupling solo reed

PostMon Mar 30, 2020 3:09 am

Good day,

I would like to duplex a (loud) solo reed (e.g., from a Solo division) to another division(s) (e.g., SW and/or GT), and then make that duplexed reed stop non-coupling in those (GT and/or SW) divisions (i.e., not affected by intra- and intermanual couplers).

How would I go about in doing that using the CODM?

Thank you for any advice.

Hello PCF,

You would do it by putting it on a separate Division object, and setting up couplers as desired (using Coupler.CouplerCodeFromWhichToCopyState when applicable), similar to the way the 'Swell Reeds on Choir' coupler is implemented in ExampleCustomOrgan2. The 'stops' that control it (on either of the two real divisions) would actually instead be implemented as couplers.
