Overriding couplers and stops

PostWed Jun 10, 2020 5:18 am

Good day,

I have two queries relating to the overriding of couplers and stops.

Overriding couplers

Is there a way in CODM where one coupler can override another coupler? For example, in the case of two couplers, i.e. (i) SO to GT and (ii) SO to GT Pizzicato, when activating the SO to GT Pizzicato, the latter will override the SO to GT coupler.

Overriding stops

Is there a way in CODM where one custom coupler (used as a stop) can override another stop? For example, where a stop (e.g., Euphonium 16) will be overridden when activating a pizzicato effect using a custom coupler (e.g., Euphonium 16 Pizzicato).

Thank you!

Hello Pharny,

It isn't currently possible within the CODM to implement a mechanism whereby turning on one stop/coupler/tremulant would turn off another (although it is logged as an enhancement request):

viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18516&p=139531#p139531

Hence, no -- I don't think you would be able to do those things within the CODM, I'm afraid.
