First Edit Attempts

PostWed Oct 05, 2011 10:33 pm

Well...Per the instructions I set out to add a Great #2 division & keyboard to Example Custom organ 1.
Using XML Marker 2, I successfully cut, pasted and edited the additional division and keyboard with no flagged errors. So far so good...until.
With "great" expectations, I proceeded to load my revised definition and no new Great division and no new keyboard showed their presence on the default GUI...

Grrrr.....Stumped!

Hello Doug,

Probably a silly question, but I assume you did actually save the resulting XML file and load it with 'Design tools | Load custom organ' (not 'Organ | Load organ')? You need to use the 'Load custom organ' to make Hauptwerk pick up (recompile) any changes.

If that doesn't solve it, please send us a copy of your CODM organ definition, and we'll see if we can spot the mistake(s):

Thanks Martin,
I think so, but I'll revisit the whole process.
