Ultra modern and minimalist organ console!

PostThu Feb 21, 2019 12:06 pm

I happened to breeze over to the Proorgano website and discovered that Fred Hohman designed a console called Orgamuse with a single frame pedestal, modern Howard seat, and translucent pedals that light up when depressed! Maybe an inspiration from Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean" video. I really appreciate this out of box thinking!

The video shows off a pedal light show with Flight of the Bumble Bee which I thought was made famous by Dr. Joyce Jones or Hector Olivera. I was surprised to learn maybe he holds the original copyright for that pedal transcription.

The grandfather of all transcriptions for this piece was by Richard Elsasser!
Copyright 1957 by Mills Music, Inc. NYC - which might be before Fred was born.
