Upgrading from Tp60 LF to LW ivory, worth it?

PostSat Jul 03, 2021 2:48 pm

Hi!

Is it worth upgrading? I have the LF but would like the Ivory touch and the real wood of the LW. Have tried Viscount keyboards with the ”ivory” feel” i really like this surface, but the touch of the tp 60 is better though.

According to this presentation the LF is about 115-120 grams and the LW 140 grams: https://youtu.be/fAI-xBDGdBk
Those of you who have the LW, are they to heavy?

Thanks in advance!

I have the LW and don't find it stiff, but that's certainly a matter of getting used to it. Compared to a real organ with electric action that I played years ago, I find my keyboards much more comfortable. With the real organ, I had the feeling of falling through.
Basically, however, I like the LW better than the LF. When I bought my console, I tried both and was happy to pay the extra. However, after seven years, the rubber strips are worn out and I have to replace them (cost: about 200 euros for four manuals).
Best regards
Thomas
