CMK power supply

PostSat Apr 30, 2022 8:07 am

Does anybody know what the power supply on the old CMK keyboards should be (this is the original CMK, predecessor to the CMK-2)? The stencil on the circuit board says "12 volts" but no indication whether it's AC or DC, or what the polarity is (if it's DC). I have a loose Ever Glow power supply that's 12V DC, positive tip, 1200 mA, but I don't know whether that belongs to the keyboards or not.

I emailed CMK but no response yet.

According to the manual posted at this link
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/91312 ... =19#manual
it doesn't matter.

"The CMK has a number of safety features. For easy operation, an isolated +12 Volt, DC adaptor of either positive or
negative polarity may be used. It must have a 2.1mm co-axial power jack. A bridge-rectifier is present within the
CMK to ensure the proper polarity. A 500mA self-resetting Polyfuse provides over-current protection from the
common power supply."

Ray, thanks. That answers the question completely as well as future questions.
