MIDI-fying a Swain & Kates Console

PostSun Aug 16, 2009 12:57 pm

Is anyone familiar with any Swain & Kates consoles? I am getting a 4 manual console for free, but I also have a Conn 653. Which one would be cheaper to install MIDI on?

I'll only use 3 of the 4 manuals on the Swain & Kates console.

The Swain and Kates should be a pretty good console, depending on the vintage. They did not really build much themselves, were more assemblers of parts from various supply houses, but they frequently used Laukhuff parts. But then they also sometimes used Klaan parts.
