Intel NUC 32 to 64gig RAM

PostSat May 16, 2020 6:28 pm

I stumbled on this piece about Intel NUC computers rated for 32 gig of RAM accepting a drop in increase to 64 gig. It worked for me.

Thanks for the interesting info.

I've been looking at nucs and wondering how well they would work with HW. What is your experience? What model are you using and what organ(s) have you successfully used with it?

I'm currently running on ancient hardware (dual Opterons that aren't supported in Win10), and a mini size would be very agreeable compared to the full size tower I have now.

Thanks!

Mark,
Sorry for the delay. I've assembled all of my past HW computers until the Intel NUC which came as a semi kit. I added memory and an ssd as well as the Win 10 operating system. My interface is a MOTU 24io. The biggest hassle was tweaking Windows 10 for HW along with updates to the MOTU drivers and firmware. Once all was set up properly the performance has been superb.
I'm using a SonusParadisi Velesovo CODM 3M 60 stop hybrid pipe organ in my home. I'll need to check the NUC Model and post later.
